Service Description

Learn the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer in TN. We cover the laws pertaining to Security Officers and how they apply to you. You will learn scene management, First Aid, De-escalation, etc. When it's time to train with your firearm, our FBI/NRA certified instructors provide training at the highest level, preparing you for whatever you may encounter. There are certain equipment requirements: 1. Handgun suitable for carrying on duty. It should be a midsized handgun. Acceptable calibers are .32, .380, 38, 9mm, 10mm, .40 cal and .45 cal. Raven, Highpoint, and a few others are not acceptable. Ruger, S&W, Taurus, Glock, Springfield, Sig Sauer, etc are all acceptable. 2. Level 1 holster 3. Minimum of 2 magazines (preferably 3) 4. Magazine holder 5. Minimum of 50 rounds of practice ammunition (full metal jacket) You will also need 50 rounds of Jacketed Hollow Point rounds to carry on duty. FMJ is not acceptable as a duty round. As an addition, once you have completed our class, should you ever want to return to the firearms day as a refresher, you are welcome to participate in the performance drills and practice functioning your weapon for free as long as we have room in that day's class for you.
